Imagine a world without Filipinos

I am a bit ambivalent after reading this article. It momentarily made me proud of being a Filipino because of all the praises the author addressed to us. But if you analyze it closely, you will definitely be ashamed of your own country. Filipinos choose to work abroad because there is almost no hope for us here in the Philippines. Even doctors choose to become nurses just to experience that greener pasture beyond our country's boundaries. Engineers become taxi drivers. Company managers become garbage collectors. All these because of our country's very poor economic state.
How about you? What are your insights?

this is a great
this is a great encouragement for us Filipinos to perform better in our respective jobs... This article is one that could prove that Filipinos are really global with flexibility that stretch wherever in the world. Filipinos are scattered all over the world, its sad to think the world without it.
i would not feel ashamed! We
i would not feel ashamed! We have to face the fact that filipinos are POOR...
it's very nice to hear some
it's very nice to hear some good thoughts from other race regarding their views on "Filipino People"... but the stigma that our county brings to the international community will never be changed... unless there will be an honest-to-goodness leader that will govern the system in a candid way...
i'm still proud to be one of those worthy filipinos... a valiant OFW!
From where I stand, we
From where I stand, we Filipinos are blessed by creativity and artistry; perhaps our archipelagical geography has something to do with it. Due to the hardships that we have so long endured, of necessity we have to be adaptable as a people. This may yet be one of our strengths. On creativity and artistry, I guess our being hodgepodge of races may be contributory to these qualities.
From the discipline I was fortunate to study from, the quality of national and local leadership in governance is a potent determining factor in our economic, and political survival. If a leader is true to herself, she is honest; if she's honest, she's credible; if she's credible, she's bound to be followed.
Three cheers for the adaptable and creative Pinoys!

Hopefully baka next month nasa ibang masmagandang company na ako. Too bad for them (present company ko).. Mawawalan sila ng astig na IT, pinoy pa!! Hehehe... Conceited ba...
