Brand new SONY DVD could not play any DVD or CD.
What do you think could be the problem? Bagong bili lang itong DVD ko. Mapa pirated man o hindi ayaw na talga? Any techniques you guys might want to share? The model number is DVP-NS51P DVD PLAYER. In addition, it can still play any media from my USB Flash. Ung talagang dvd/cd lang talaga ang ayaw.

Setting your Sony DVD to Region-Free
baka mag work sa Model na nabili mo kung Region Code ang problema...
1.Multi-Region:
• Turn On the unit with the remote controller
• Wait until "no disc" appears in the unit's display
• Press Pause, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9
• The word "CODE" should appear in the display
• Within five seconds, press the key that corresponds to the zone you want i.e. 0 for region free, 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2 and so on
• Again, within 5 seconds, press Pause and Power
2.If the above fails to work then you may wish to try the following:
• Put the player into Standby mode
• Press 1 and Return on remote for region 1, 2 and Return for region 2, and so on. Use 0 and Return to return player to default region settings
• Press P-Mode and Return to play DVD's with the selected region, auto-switching is Off
• Press Audio and Return for auto-switching On
• Press Angle and Return for MacroVision On
• Press Subtitle and Return for MacroVision Off
Di ko alam ang Sony DVD model na nabili ng barkada ko but i know it's slim.
Ang mga DVD movies at dvd player kung saang country i-export yan yun ang naka-set na
region code(philippines is 3).
i-set mo ang DVD player mo sa Region-Free. para kahit saan country galing ang
DVD movies ma play.
Note : Almost 2 years na yan ng gawin niya, nabasa ko ang problema mo kaya nalala ko

Ay teka, di ko ata nabanggit na gumagana to noon. Nakapag play pa ako ng 1 or 2 DVDs bago ito nangyari. Di kaya sa region settings parin yun?

@IWM Nope.. No Disc ang lumabas at all.
@bammm and RPinay.. I've tried it but it didn't work.
We noticed the disk is actually spinning but not at constant speed. Bumibilis tapos bumabagal. Tried playing original and pirated (audio and video) DVDs and CDs, No Disc parin.
Only option... I'm taking it to a tech.
