first of all, i really don't know where to post this. but i hope somebody can help me with this
localhost loading takes too long and it ends up page cannot be loaded. I'm using WAMP 2.0. I uninstalled it suspecting that my suite has a problem then i switch to VertrigoServ but then nothing has change.
I've already check my apache config, restore the dafult configuration, but the problem is still there.
by the way, before installing WAMP, i used to install my local php, apache, mysql server manually and then the problem begins...
Please help me guys...Thank You..

how long is how long? and
how long is how long?
and does the home page even show up, or do you get an error message?
I never used WAMP to host a
I never used WAMP to host a PHP on my Windows server but I've tried and tested XAMPP.
Like SD mentioned, what's the error?
Just an assumption, disable your IIS. Try to sniff the port 80 if it's open or not.
I still prefer installing
I still prefer installing everything manually. Harry Potter, try manual installation, because it's more configurable and most of us do it that way.
try putting 127.0.0.1 on
try putting 127.0.0.1 on your browser. it should direct to your home page of apache. yun kasi gamit ko ngayon. I have the same problem as you do, ayaw gumana pag ginamit yung localhost.
make sure apache is running.
make sure apache is running. Also try http://localhost.localdomain
I've already tried
I've already tried 127.0.0.1. Dati nag manual installation ako then this error occurs. I uninstall everything then I switch to VertrigoServe, still nothing happens and then I install WAMP.
ERROR: Cannot load the page. More than 10 minutes ang loading nya.
Open din ang port 80 ko and I've even check my firewall logs. Wala nman problema.
just use the XAMMP nalang
just use the XAMMP nalang mas ok pa... i never had any problems
nothing is obviously wrong
nothing is obviously wrong with the programs them selves. try turning off all firewalls your computer has on. if that still doesnt work then its possible that somthing is already using port 80. I dont know a full list of programs but if you have skype running in the background that would definately interfere. If not. close all programs that need an internet connection
